Removing spoiler

Just back from holiday and I noticed there are rust streaks on the paintwork (no doubt due to our wet summer). The streaks originate from the driver's side spoiler on the tailgate. I'm assuming the bolts that hold it on have deteriorated and the rust stains are from the bolts. There's no point doing remedial action on the bodywork - which I know will be fine after a little Menzerna polish and Collinite wax until I renew the bolts.

Any advice welcome. :)

You can't remove the spoiler. But your problem will be water colecting inside the spoiler.

This has happened with a few members. They have drilled a couple of holes on the underside at each end with great sucsess.

If I remember corectly one member got about a pint of water out. If you have a couple of holes on the underside you will never notice them and hopefully it should stop water colecting again.

Cheers

David

Drilled holes today - so water did indeed run out. I'd estimate 100-200ml of water, as it's been relatively dry here. Better out than in as we say though!
