Removing wheel caps

I am about to acquire a nice TDI sport with 9 spoke 17 inch sport alloys. The wheels have just been refurbished but the centre caps look a bit tatty in comparison. Just ordered some new ones on Ebay. How do you remove the centre caps as they don't have a visible hole on them like my SE 16 inch wheels? I don't really want to use a screwdriver as it could damage the wheels, but cant see where the Audi tool would fit for their removal?

Hi Paul. I didn't realise they were actual holes thinking they were just indents in the cap so thanks for the advice. Car is being delivered to me tomorrow night at around 19:00. I will see how I feel driving the car regarding the remap we discussed last night and let you know how I get on. It isn't going to be used too much as my other A2 FSI will be my workhorse and my newer car more for weekend use. Its just had a service and has 11 months MOT so hopefully nothing to worry about mechanically for a while.
