Recently I had my right rear door sensor replaced because moisture seemed to have gotten inside. The repair was covered by the "Audi used car warrenty". The repair was scheduled for one day, but somehow they broke the replacement part and had to order a new one so the repair took two days. I also bought rims for the winter tires and let them mount them, which costed 850 EUR (the rims are damn expensive). I asked for a replacement car during the repair and they offered me a VW Passat.
Yesterday, 2 weeks after the bill for the rims arrived, I got another bill from the dealer about a "rental car for 2 days and 147 km" making a total of 125 EUR. This surprised me a bit because I expected the replacement car to be free of charge.
I just read the fine print of the "Audi used car warrenty" agreement and found that the costs of rental cars are not covered by it, but nevertheless, I bought rims for 850 EUR from them, and that the repair took two days was entirely their fault!
Now I'd like to know: how do your dealers handle replacement cars?
