Rnse map update

Hi everyone,

As title I’m wanting to update rnse maps that I have fitted to one of my A2’s, is it just as simple as buying a new disc?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Evening Ross,

When I got my RNS-E Mk1 it had a very out of date (2008) DVD and was just useless as there has been quite a lot of road ‘improvements’ and new estates built since then.

Reading similar threads few months ago it seems the Mk2 (Media button) can be problematic with copied DVDs. The Mk1 (CD/TV button) is less picky and seems to work well.

I did have to remove the top of the RNS-E (5 small screws I think) to wipe over the lens with a cotton bud, it’s a quick job and I’m happy to help out over the phone (FaceTime) if need be.

I did manage to get an updated map DVD from Here (search for RNS-E):

There is 2 options to go for from this seller;
1. 2018 maps but only 5 digit postcode.
2. 2016 maps with full 7 digit postcode along with speed cameras.

I went for the 2016 DVD.

And it’s been brilliant so far.

I got my 7-digit 2016 disc on Ebay for £7, sent. That was about 2 years ago ….. It has worked perfectly! Why don't you have a look, there?
