Hi
My fsi has a rough idle problem the needle bounces between 800rpm and 2000rpm
It shakes the whole car and scares the s*** out of me
What could cause this?
Thank you in advance
Looks like I'll have to get a scan done as soon as possible. Thank you guys for your help.
In regards to the last comment yep the car drives absolutely fine.
But pulling away in 1st gear or reversing the car the clutch then vibrates crazily that I end up stalling the car on occassions.
My last 1.6 was an FSI SE the clutch was smooth and perfect
My latest car is a FSI sport, not sure if that makes a difference?
Thanks
Hi @a2sumo my A2 eats oil, i believe it is because the piston rings of one piston. I think it is unusual since it has only 78.000km. I wanted to flush the engine to see if I could do some magic before i take the engine out.Yes the breathing system is sealed circuit type and any air leaks such as cap off/dip stick out/ vac line unconnected will result in very poor idle. So it looks like you have fixed your issue, well done.mike
Yes perfectly normal for a sealed breathing system engine.Hi @a2sumo my A2 eats oil, i believe it is because the piston rings of one piston. I think it is unusual since it has only 78.000km. I wanted to flush the engine to see if I could do some magic before i take the engine out.
When i opened to oil filler cap to fill it with the flush product the iddle when crazy and when i put the cap back on the engine sounded fine.
I understand by reading your comment that it is normal. Is it true?
Thanks!
