S line badges

Just as a matter of interest because I have never seen a A2 S line
( are there any in the UK ? ) besides the badges being on the rear doors are there any on the tailgate and front grill ?
Does anyone have any pictures?

This is an S-line and only has badge on the sides.

Dealer informs me the the A2 S LINE was never brought into the UK but the 1.6 FSI sport is actually an s-line .Does anyone know differnt ?

Nope it was never launched here - Europe only. You can only buy the badges. It also involves a black roof lining, different steering wheel and lovely part leather black seats. So the 1,6 FSI Sport can never ever be called an S-line as it has none of these things OR indeed the badges.

Thanks Johann........our car has part leather and part Alcantara seats, black roof lining, sports leather steering wheel and leather gear stick gator.Told reliably that in late 03 these where badged as S line in Europe but came over here as the latest higher spec sport.

It is "nearly" S-Line... The part leather seats of the S-line does not have Alcantara in the main seat central bits. It has black fabric. Go and have a look at the S-line spec of the new A3 or Sportback availible only on 2,0 Tdi or Quattro models. But have to admit I did not know the later A2 Sports had black roof lining too. True S-line also has a dimpled steering wheel that looks like a golf ball! It is not just a Sport 3 spoke steering wheel.

A black headlining! [?] I would find that just a bit oppressive, I think! But, each to their own, eh?... [13]
 
Mine is so close to S-Line now I just bought the badges (ebay) and fitted them. Dealer commented that S-Line A2s were rare in the UK!!!

I Have seen these badges on Ebay do they stick on ok which
person/user did you buy from on Ebay ........[13]

 
I bought mine from the dealer at £24 a pair. Saw them on ebay somem one where selling them as a pair

I cannot belive it!

I specifically asked my dealer for a black headlining when I specced my A2 last September. The reply came back that they don't do them sir!!!!!!
Bloody liars!
Now then, wonder where I can source a black headliner for Open Sky models from.....................?

We bought ours at a year old and the last owner stuck every concievable extra he could think of
