Service recommendations bolton area

Hi all

Hello to you all first and hope your all well....

My 1.4tdi 55 plate needs a service and a good look at by someone decent.
Can anyone recommend a bolton/Manchester garage. We have been looking at VAG bolton and horwich bloor street motors who a long term German car specialists.
Does anyone have experience of any of above?

yes i do lad called matt worked for audi now works for porche , does foreigners sat had a lot of work done by him on mine spot on nice chap
 
Thank you, does he do his foreigners at a garage. I would prefer to get it in a garage that's got some knowledge on A2

Awesome GTI in Irlam, they did a full service on mine for £159 also did the cambelt kit, water pump, front ARB and droplinks all at reasonable prices, very knowledgeable on all things VW/Audi.
 
I've just got mine in for a service/MOT with Volksmaster in Bury [was unfortunately disappointed with the treatment I got last year at Awesome GTI in Irlam].

They fitted a new cambelt last autumn and I was very impressed with their professionalism and very customer-friendly approach. Took time today to explain exactly what they've found and done to remedy. Plus very reasonable prices.

Had it serviced at horwich German car specialist. Drop links and cv boots were needed. Car seems to be running well but I wasn't happy with the service, didn't explain much and were a little off when I went to collect. They said everything else was fine and didn't have an issue with the clutch although audi 2 years ago said it needed replacing. So all in all not a happy garage but the car seems fine.
