my steering wheel is shiny ...
can anyone give me any tips on removing the shine?
I've done a search but this tends to be in regard to seats etc
Paul

Is it a leather wheel?

If it is, you can use a leather cream cleaner, Mequires leather cleaner is good. It will feed the leather and clean it removing the greasy shine. Not sure if its plastic:)

i'll give that a go it is a leather wheel i was just a bit worried abut putting anything that might be slippy on to it
cheers
Paul

When you've got it back into condition, you might want to consider using driving gloves, as they keep all the oils and grease from your skin away.

John Lewis do a great pair for £30. They're what I use.

Cheers,

So thats what driving gloves are for!!,
I thought my were to keep old peoples hand warm and cosy when driving.
Never thought of that.

A cheaper option is to use Simoniz Dashboard Cleaner (in Matt finish) its got a lemon scnet which disappears after a few hours but hell, does it get rid of the shine or what! Only £6 from Halfrauds.
