should the air bag light flash on when you start the car?

when you turn your engine on should you see the airbag light flash up? i only ask as when i purchused the car the light was permantly on so i got my dealer to fix it. \now i dont see the light turn on at all.Just want to make sure he did fix it and not cover the light with black tape from the inside of dashbo

yup, airbag light should come on with the other lights and go out after a couple of seconds.
