Hi all,
Sorry for new thread - I tried to find the previous thread when we discussed the skyroof, and more specifically my problem, however cant find it.
If you remember, I previously had a problem with my skyroof, and planned to take it in to be sorted by the following weekend (I think this was in March or April)
For those who dont remember, some time ago I had a scary moment when my skyroof locked open (lost all power) for about 10 seconds. Around this time, I also started to notice that when it opened, the front glass section seemed to catch on the rear section and make a scary sort of glass about to shatter noise.
In line with the story of my life (work work work), I finally found the time (3 months after my first intention) and took it in to be checked last Saturday. After a quick review, it was booked in this morning to be fixed and potentially kept in for 2 days. They were unsure since they dont know what the problem was until the roof had been dissassembled completely.
At about 1pm this afternoon, I had a call. Fixed!!!
It seems that the sky roof has a tendancy to 'loosen' itself up over time, and therefore all that was needed was re-adjustment.
Not such an interesting story, however I thought I'd share it with you all in case your having any similar trouble.
