Information Special colour order FSI help needed

Well if anyone has got any friends working at Audi I'd sure appreciate the help. The chassis number is WAUZZZ8Z33N009509 reg OV52 YXW

and yes, if I keep the car I will want to return it to factory spec so that will include the leather and BOSE.

Oops! Just realised I put the reg of your special car into the history checker not the "breaker"!!! Sorry to send you on a wild goose chase but at least you know more about your special A2. Can't see the reg on the first picture of your oddity - run it through the history checker to find out where it really started life.

Thought it odd you had put your special wheels on and did not read the text. I will never live this down.

Oh well, at least I'm further along than I was before anyway because I've got the spec sheet. Post above updated with chassis number and reg number.

Hi Steve,

what I can tell you is that your car is a 2003 model year. That's the number immediately following 8Z. At the start of each model year, the last digits of the numeric sequence at the end of the VIN resets to 000001 so your car is number 9509 of the 2003 model year. The last car build at the end of June 2002 was number 8361 and the last car built in July was number 11267 so your car was built some time in early July 2002. First registration of OV52 YXW is recorded as 7th January 2003 so to took a while to be sold!

I'm afraid I can't help with the colour though.

Thanks Andrew. Strange yhat it wasn't registered until 6 months after production. With ot beong a special order colour you would think that it was ordered for a specific customer.

Not necessarily so, my cabriolet pictured earlier was a Audi UK registered car for the first year so special paint ordered by Audi, then later sold through the dealer network.

Hi,

[FONT=&quot]Yes, that did occur to me when I wrote the post. Perhaps it was a showcase car to put in the dealership showroom to tempt buyers with something that looked a bit special? It was well spec’d with leather, BOSE and OpenSky.

Plus double DIN with RNS-D, washerjet front bumper and 5 seater so had a lot of spec. I've now swapped the wheels back to the factory 9 spokes so that's one original fitment back on.

My local Audi, but then it was in Kiddlington, just north of Oxford. They relocated to Cowley a few years ago, just opposite
the mini factory - looks very provocative with its Audi rings baiting the large BMW factory complex.

Hi Steve a very unique A2 ..and yes I can see the lilac tinge in the colour .. more photos please... I guess u have yet to find the paint code .. I don't know if I can shed anymore light on that but iv got a good friend at Audi if you'd like me try ? ...

If this is one of the first A2 FSi's could it have been a press car, hence the special colour, leather and Bose? In which case you may find it on the net from the original launch?
