"Steering wheel" - warning in display

Hi guys (and girls?) Just found this forum and maybe you can help me with one thing.

After driving for about 15-30 minutes, there comes a loud beep (almost **** myself the first time ) and a yellow steering wheel is shown in the display.
What can this be? I just have a german version of owners manual so that's not helping me much.
I have noticed some strange behaviour of the power steering sometimes, can it have something to do with this?

Just got the car a couple of weeks ago and I really love the cute little thing. It's just a little bit worn after 200.000+ miles.....

yes, it most definitely has to do with the steering.

Get the codes read. Check the power steering fluid level, too.

Thanx, but where do I find the reservoar for the power steering? I removed the hood and couldn't find it.

IIRC it's under the left-hand (from the drivers perspective) headlight on our right-hand-drive cars (probably still on the left on yours, but I can't say for sure). I think you may need to unscrew the headlight assembly to get access.
