i removed the stereo and pluged in a kenwood head unit instead, this works without a problem but, my question is
what is the small brown wire with a block for and the big red block? didnt use these and it still works, also i noticed i have no sound from the back speakers are these blocks for them?

The big red block is for telephone connections. The black, 20-pin block contains the connectors for a cd changer, the CAN-bus system and the pre-amp outputs.

If your rear speakers were working beforehand and not now, then I'd suggest that you need to connect the pre-outs on the Kenwood (if it has them) to the small Blaupunkt amp, which drives the rear speakers and sits below the drivers feet.
