Sadly the turbo seems to have gone on my Dolphin Grey TDI90. To be honest as much as I love the A2s (had three to date) I have been pondering a change as would like to own other makes of car (Alpha, BMW etc) before I pop my clogs and the BMW Z4 looks appealing.
Turbo aside the car is fantastic. Great body work. Alloys recently fitted are top of the range in the brochure at launch and have been fully conditioned to new release in the summer. New undertray. Premium tyres all-round with 6mm of tread. Had a new DM flywheel, belts and water pump fitted 10k miles ago. It has done 110K miles. Full service history. Has boot shelf fitted. Under handbrake tray etc. It has the incredibly rare combo of a black and cream twist interior, with lovely full leather seats and all the wiring and controls on place for heated seats. Switches are all hard touch. Has OSS currently not working. Was working until recently....decided to relubricate the OSS system and sadly one side moved more forward than the other under operation and became jammed. Loosened the roof motor to close the roof glass but have not been back to to sort roof out since. Has cruise control from factory, winter pack etc. Timmus has worked his magic on the car with a retune and fitting Bluetooth into the car.
What would you do if you were in my position? Do you see the repair cost being offset by the increase in value of having the job done?
Your advice (as ever,) would be gratefully received.
