Symphony radio Problem

Hi I have a problem with my Symphony radio in my 2001 A2. It functions well and has not been a problem but now shuts its self off after about half an hour of driving (as if the ignition has been turned off) and will not restart until about half an hour of the key being removed. Is it a radio problem or loom. Can the radio be reset Any thoughts please Foggey
 
Have you tried taking it out and cleaning? Sounds like and overheating problem. I don't have a Symphony myself. Is there a fan or cooling fins on it?
 
Thanks for the last Im sure the radio s switching off as it thinks the key has been taken out ! Is this a fault with the radio or the car loom ? may be the ignition switch ? Foggey
