Taunton audi

I'm getting really annoyed with the guys at taunton audi now. Bought are A2 form there a not so long ago. We viewed the car they had (we'd already been looking for an A2 so had looked at others). After viewing/testing the car they had we said that we would ring them i the week if we were going to purchase the car. Later that afternoon we received a phone call saying that if we were serious about buying the car to give £1000 to hold the car immediately as some one else was about to test drive it. My fiancée had set her mind on getting this particular A2 so we gave over card details so they could take £1000 to hold the car. The following day we took the car we were going to part ex in and sorted out some paperwork. We opted to pay difference on there finance plan over a year. The car we traded in was to be the deposit. I asked then if the £1000 would be knocked of the balance or returned to us and was told it would be refunded to the card. Roughly 6 weeks on it has still not been refunded. 2 weeks ago i went in to the dealers they told me a cheque was in the post (no sign of it). I have rang them numeous times and my call ether does not get returned or i cant get through to the right person.

Does any body think its unreasonable to ask them to pay the interest incurred as a result of them not refunding the money?

I will be writing them a letter and sending it via recorded delivery asking to be payed within 7 days or be taken to a small claims court as this is just getting stupid now.

Charge the standard 8% from the date it was charged to your card, not from when they said they'd refund you. It's a shabby way of introduction to the Audi brand and as such, get Audi UK involved - it's amazing what a little nudge from them can do to resolve matters.

Hi Alex,
I am sorry to hear about your problems with your dealer. I too have had a very bad experience with a certain dealer soon to be named on here!

I have seen better customer service in pcworld, and i fricken hate that store! and avoid it like the plague.

Here is a link to file a claim online https://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk/csmco2/index.jsp it will cost £30 to file the claim, but the dealer will have to pay that and all costs to you if your claim is sucessful.

Regards,
Paul.

Does any body know where i can find the address for Audi uk? i have done a search but the search cant use uk because its to long, to short or to common.

We have had no problems with the car, they serviced it and replaced the cam belt priar to collection of the car and they did changed the windscreen for us as it got chipped whilst we were signing the paperwork when we collected the car. So at first we were impressed with them i even failt they were wrongly accused of being over priced when i had to purchase a rear light from them as i thought it was cheap. There after sales service is appalling particulary as they know i was quite likely to purchase another A2 to from them should they get one with the spec i have been looking for.

We won't use them again after they picked only the bits they wanted to do when we made some warranty claims with our 2nd AVS. They also lost our black wallet (yes service book, manual etc) but denied it of course. Saying they never remove them from the car, funny thing is we only put it in the car when it goes in for service!
Doesn't surprise me they haven't improved.
