You ve obviously got lots of experience Paul.Euro car parts do the Circoli one for around £4.20 and I have fitted dozens of them on my own A2's and for numerous A2OC members, never had a problem with them and they are identical in every detail to the Audi stat that is normally what I am removing with the exception of the VAG logo
The retaining fingers in the housing often break, this is not a problem as they are only there to aid fitting, it is equally possible to fit the stat without the fingers
