Hi guys, can anyone tell me if the 'Temp flap positoning motor V68' for the climate control on UK cars is in the drivers or passengers footwell please. I am trying to work out if i can get away with changing it without removing the whole dashboard. Its definatly in the drivers footwell on LHD cars.
Thankyou James

Its on the drivers side but its the lower one which I think may be masked by a side support stay for the centre console. You could probably check by removing the under-dash panel above the drivers footwell.
The attached post may help a little - but note the aircon diagram is a view from the front of the car looking into the cabin (and not looking from the drivers seat)

Thanks Spike I have got that diagram but I think it shows a view sitting in a LHD car looking out the drivers window?
I can see a similiar motor from the drivers footwell on my RHD car but I wanted to be 100% sure it is actually V68. I really dont want to remove the dash but as you suggested the motor is covered in a metal support structure which doesnt seem to obvious remove.
There is a detailed procedure on the German A2 owners club but despite registering I cant open the images titled 'Anleitung Stellmotoren der Klima Ausbau'

I had my dash out to replace the G263 sensor and am 99% sure the V68 and V107 flaps are on the drivers side in our (UK) cars.
For help with the German A2oc documents, Bret is a forum administrator so I'd contact him for advice - http://www.a2oc.net/forum/member.php?u=654
