Mercedes A Class

I have driven several of these, I love the space, especially in the LWB but found the handling skittish; Build quality is also very poor.

A friend bought one and has had most parts replaced at a cost of £££thousands, good job he took out "Warranty Direct'.

I made the right choice and bought the A2 Tdi, over 70,000 miles now and just changed the front discs and pads for the first time.

Mercedes are not what they were before 1986; someone I know was recently recovered after a breakdown and MB charged £370 to tell them they need a new engine at £11,500!!!
I think MB have lost it now.
 
I Forgot

I still own my Mercedes 250D, 124 series; one of the last great cars they made (245,000 Miles and still great), not too quick but still going so I'll drive it into the ground. I have serviced it myself for the last 100,000mls. As for the dealers.....well,......enough said.
