Time to say goodbye

It's time for me to part company with my A2 I've had for 6 years. My back is playing up and I need something with better suspension and a higher driving position. The advice and help on here has been invaluable. One final question before I move on....Ive got 3 months MOT left and Im 'fairly' confident it will go through on the all the things that are clearly obvious including fixing the advisories from last year. Should i just sell as it is or is it really worth all the extra effort to get 12 months ticket on it. Would the price i get change significantly?

Am i right in thinking yours is the Stunning car WOM sold a few years back a nice fully loaded machine with twist cream leather? If so you might get buyers taking it quick just because it was a beautiful loaded example.

I agree with Mark, a small outlay that might make selling your car that bit easier and more attractive for buyers. Good luck with the sale, and as a sciatica sufferer even after surgery, I wish you all the very best with your back.

12 months MOT will not add value but it will in still confidence and peace of mind. I don't personally doubt it will go through without a fault but if I were buying a car with 3 months MOT and the sellers word I know I'd be sceptical, 12 months leaves no room to argue it's road worthyness, plus it is no hassle to put it in for an mot only cost. Best of luck with the sale.

I looked into this by looking at previous posts. It seems that this was not that car according to Timmus sometime ago.

Hi there, Sorry to hear you are selling. I am however interested in the car and would like to register my interest, please could send me some details?
Many thanks

Morning,

Sorry to hear you’ll be parting company with your A2. As much fun as these cars are, health of course take precedence. I look forward to reading the sales advertisement in the Market Forum.

I also agree, get another 12 months MOT ticket on it. As a seller you really must try to ensure you restrict what your market can use against you during price negotiations.

Can I ask others to not register interest until the vehicle has actually been listed in the correct area. To keep proceedings tidy, please ensure the listing is fully conversant with the rules.

It seems that there might well be a queue for you A2. I’ll keep an eye out for it.

Kind regards,

Tom

Hi, there might be some confusion here. My forum name was when I had my first A2, a nice TDi in Jaipur (but NOT the one mentioned above from WOM sadly). I was involved in an accident and it was picked up by another forum member from Co-part. My replacement ride was an 1.4 SE in denim blue which i will be listing at some point after Ive put her through an MOT
