hi all. can any of you recommend a reliable garage in the south wales / bristol area to do a cambelt change?

If Bath is within reach, a top outfit is VASS who are on the Brass Mills industrial estate. Very good and reliable Audi specialists, known to have been used by Audi UK for difficult work.

Just thinking aloud, I think it would be an idea to talk to A2Steve, whom I think has a good mechanic up his sleeve. The resident spares Guru who resides in South Wales.

Hi - motofix car sales in Merthyr Tydfil (Plymouth Street) - speak to Mark Norman - vw trained technician and worked on Bentley / Ferraris for years - top mechanic and has serviced both by a2s for years including at least 4 cam belt changes for me on both petrol and diesels - reasonable valley prices too

The local garage that @A2Steve uses is Aberdare Motor Repairs, Robertstown Industrial Estate, Aberdare CF44 8HD phone 01685 878 604. It's a general garage, rather than a VAG specialist, with no website and no frills, but none the worse for that.

VASS of Bath is the other end of the spectrum in terms of facilities and specialist expertise; they have an excellent reputation here. They have a website:
