... and a nice BOSE install ... and a TT steering wheel ... (Puts a bet on that within 3 three weeks it'll be starting)

Today I needed to clear my head a bit so what better than a bit of car cleaning, but this time I cleaned the only place I haven't yet cleaned.

Came up lovely

Today I fitted a new set of Bosch ignition leads. The old ones were quite reluctant to shift and the rubber felt perished, so I guess that they were the originals.

Today I saw the first Colour Storm out on the roads that I've seen anywhere except at an A2OC social. A 53-plate Misano Red going through Tring. Pity I was in the Volvo so I couldn't wave!

Today I pulled together the new parts that will hopefully be fitted to my A2 this coming weekend.

In no particular order:
The above will compliment the ATE ceramic discs and pads already fitted.

Can't wait...

Spent the day with Robin and Jeff (Mustang-owner) at Stealth fitting the above and servicing the FSI. I learnt so much today. All went well, though the front anti roll bar needed quite a bit of work to fit - sub-frame loosened due to the restrictive access of the exhaust on the FSI.

The A2 handles like a dream now, the rear anti roll bar makes such a difference, tightening up the back end nicely. As a package the Monroe shocks, H&R springs (25mm drop) and H&R front and rear anti roll bars transform the driving experience and generate significant confidence from behind the wheel. The FSI seems to like it's new additions. Fresh oil, plugs and filters made for a smooth and punchy return leg home.

A big thanks to Robin and Jeff - I'm one very pleased owner.

You should be able to keep up through the bendy bits at the next social now mate :p

Joking aside from experience I know this setup turns the A2 into a go-kart. Glad you are pleased.

Eventually decided to fit the genuine tt pedal covers I've had for about 3 months. Surprised how easily the tt covers were to fit. Genuine a2 pedal covers as per usual a snug fit and stubborn to remove.

Did quite of a lot of dismantling of the knackered Akoya car today - managed to not actually break any clips either :) Most impressed. Good to meet Pete as well and most appreciative of his help with some of the lifting.

Sounds good Darren, all we need now is to see a pic of the car. ;)

I'm thinking of adding a rear bar to ours could you pm me the details?

Did the same on my 1.4, I could not live without these mods.
Though, I am pretty sure the guy who fitted my suspensions, damaged the shocks absorbers. I wasn't looking all the time but saw him at some point using an air gun to tighten one nut and I am sure it said on the instructions not to do that.

Keep the Pepper pots and fit winter tires on them!;)

Good idea but two problem with that

1.The tyres have only done about 1500 miles or so
2. We don’t get that bad weather around Bristol (that’s jinxed it!)

I might keep them and see how I get on with these new ones as I’ve only driven a couple of miles on them so far!

Agree, great mod Herve. Air guns are ok if they aren't torqued too high and a torque or manual wrench is used to tighten up. There is always a danger of cross-threading with them mind, I'm not a fan at all. I don't even like electric screwdrivers and prefer to 'feel' how tight things are and make certain that they are seated correctly.

During the " Beast from the East" period I was happy having my 16" winter tires.
