Hi
I am about to but a 1.4tdi sport and would like some advise on tuning
it appears tobe a minefield out there
Can anyone give me some impartial advise of who is best and what gains.
I see E bay has lots of cheap boxes claiming to increase power again any advise
Finally how do you tell between a 90hp or lower spec engine cars 1.4 sports

Do not use those box from EBay... All the boxes are cheap tricks to cheat the fuel temperature (if you are interested I will tell you more).
The main fact: DO NOT BUY THOSE BOXES!!! Can harm your engine...

I've heard good things about AMD tuning, but not used them myself.

Visually I think the most obvious difference is that the 90bhp has rear disks/pads whilst the 75bhp has drums. But I'm sure there must be more, just can't of any right now.

2004 1.4 TDi (90) SE, Cobalt Blue, Climate control, Cruise control, DIS, Sport seats, Winter pack, Symphony II.
 
Just got the wifes A2 1.6 back from AMD Stage 2 ECU remap and Milltek Full Stainless Steel Exhaust - to include rolling road time, before and after power and torque plots. Performance gains approx. 28 bhp and 35 lbs/ft torque.
