Unfolding Rear Seats when out of car?

Hey guys, i've had my A2 for a few weeks - thought i'd pop in with a quick question.

Is there a way to unfold the rear seats when they have been taken out of the car? Thought they would make a pretty cool couch in my flat while I don't need them in the car..

You're best off leaving them closed as if you undo them, you'll have a devil of a job fitting them back into the car.

How about making up a base for them with the same fixing points as the A2?

I wouldn't be able to fold them back before putting them in again, hey?

You'd struggle as the pins/springs need to be pressed in to rlease the backrest and this is ordinarily done by the floorpan.

Try it if you like, but don't say I didn't warn you!!!

i found this out too when the valeter cleaned ours. he could not get the seats to open to clean them once he lifted them out..............
