I have found a solution to the problem! The answer costs money but works! You need to buy a new plenum chamber cover part number A8Z2 819 403 EO 1C that will accommadate the 2003 double jet washers. These jets are handed part numbers A8ZO 955 987 D & A8ZO 955 988 B. Total cost £22.31 plus VAT. These 4 jets can be adjusted to wet the screen where you want it rather than wash the wiper arms or the roof.
The conversion has worked well for me.
p.s. I bought new elbows & "Y" piece connector plus new plastic piping. These proved unnecessary if you heat the connectors with a hair-dryer to make them soft enough to sepearte from the old jets & then soft enough to fit the new jets

Mine are blocked and only dribble, I have soaked then in cleaning solutions, poked them with pins etc but judt dribble.
so my questions are:
Are the part numbers above correct?
Was there a fitting guide?
and
What are the part numbers for the spray type jets? (currently have fitted)
