I've finally had enough of washing the roof So had the lid off yesterday and had a look at the washer jets, as I couldn't understand why the jets were squirting at an angle and so overshooting the car at one side and hitting the wiper arm at the other side of the jet fan. All became clear, the jets are mounted in the plastic screen drainage trim, this isn't rigid and the jets are loose in the mounting holes, methinks a bit of bad design here.[9]
A cheap and simple fix take a black cable tie and cut 2 x 1" (sorry only imperial here) sections and slip these under the inner edge of the jet, by that I mean the side that is towards the middle of the car. This packs the jets and makes them sit almost level. Adjust the washers so they now hit the screen and the job's a good un [8D]
I will try to get some pictures if I can get the batteries to last longer than 10 seconds in the camera, and then send them to Stuart.
