After phoning halfords to fit my double din radio they have asked for the amp of my car which i have no idea ? Its a 1.4 sport 52 plate audi a2 can anyone help me out with the answer ?

it's a tiny blaupunkt in the footwell, in front of the driver's seat.
If you only have front speakers, it's irrelevant, as they are driven from the radio.
If you have front and rear speakers - from the factory - one set is driven by the radio, the other by the active amp. Even then, the relevance is a moot point because they'd all be driven by the new radio, no?

Thank you Bret. I think the guy on the phone didnt really know what he was asking as he wasnt the radio fitter i will phone back today
