What this supposed to attach to?

The outlet for the Webasto is just pendant at the moment. How is supposed to be fixed?

Ok there was no undertray when I got the car. So how does it fit the undertray please?

there is an eyelet with L shape piece of pipe from memory

The original undertray would have had this attached to it. As @robskiA2tdi says, it's L-shaped on the other side, and you just clamp the exhaust hose to it. You'll need to find one in a breakers yard, or come up with another solution.

Unfortunately the L-shaped part is part of the whole exhaust.

The pipe attaches to a flange (check out narrow boat outles..) which is a saucer shape then it screws to the undertray using three screws. YOu can see the circle shape in the tray

A word of caution, I once suggested hot dipped galvanised as an option but the OP replied he was reluctant because he was concerned about possible dimensional distortion. Your call. Andy I’d be really surprised if it was damaged by hot dipping, it’s a hefty bit of steel, and it’s already been...
