We called him Murphy after the cowboy actor Audi MurphyI was having a chat with a few people at the Stanford Hall social and noticed a few of us had named our aluminium friends with older fashioned names, for me it just seems to suit them, I've had Bert (the little old man who just won't retire!) and currently have Heu.

Ours is "Tigger" due to the habit of bouncing down the road before the complete front suspension was replaced. No longer does he bounce but he continues to be "Tigger".
Better not tell the wife then that 'unready' is nothing to do with the colour red, more to do with not being able to read.Wife named her "Ethel" relating to the red colour. Ethelred the unready being an old English king.

We call him Audi Murphy after the actor in many cowboy films. With living by the sea he is great, no rust while much younger cars are riddled with it.

my previous island green was audrey - she was a no frills oem se - the name seemed to fit
the current one is alfie - my wife bought him and named him.

T` Li`ll ( Lyle ) Audi. T being Cumbrian for The. L`ll ( Lyle ) being Cumbrian for Little.
However it has also been known as OB WAN KENOBEE due to Reg Number ending OBN.
TARDIS sometimes, as it has carried large items of Furniture, Fridges even a complete VW Aircooled Engine from our 1966 Beetle to take it to be Rebuilt !
