Wheel Spacers

Im looking at the proper bolt on wheel spacers to increase cornering safety and wondered what size increase you have or have tried. it would seem the standard increase offered by amd and mtm is 30mm axle (15mm per wheel)

could you advise which you have tried - and what size wheels you have with the spacers. ive seen some H&R 40mm(axle) and was trying to see if they would fit ok with regards to clearance of arches

You shouldn't use spacers which put the offset under 30mm at the front axle. That could cause uncontrolled oversteer, because it changes the geometry of the front axle.

If you are only contemplating using spacers for 'cornering safety' then I would save your money and not bother - slow down a bit instead.

Seriously though, 20mm per side at the rear is excessive and would lead to rubbing at full load or if you have lowered suspension.

If you must do this then only use specifically designed ones, not the multi fit type, these lead to wheel vibration, I speak from experience

Thanks for your comments

Like i said im looking at the BOLT on version.

doing a little research im going to go with the 30mm(axle).

cheers
