Thanks TPS is not far from where I work, it's easy for me to pick stuff up from there.Give Glasgow Audi a ring for a price then compare with TPS. I think TPS have an outlet over your way.
Edit: Glasgow East end your closest TPS so still a fair trek.
Ah. Ref your last post Tom. I'm a 2004 ATL. This will be 42 litre. Does it remain 15 posted?
I am not sure which size tank you have. I would check the part number of the new strap (item 20) usingHere's a picture of the new strap:-

It looks like it would have to be bent into place to fit my tank. Would that be the correct procedure?
Yes, I have seen that diagram and it is not clear what shape the strap is but it looks like it is a flat bottomed U shape that comes vertically up either side from what I can tell looking at it under the car.fuel tank; F 8Z-3-000 001>> Audi A2 (A2) 2003 year Audi EUROPA 201006

Yes, I agree the 7zap diagram does not show shape but the parts list does show the part numbers for the 34l and 42l tanks. Again which is it and what is yours?Yes, I have seen that diagram and it is not clear what shape the strap is but it looks like it is a flat bottomed U shape that comes vertically up either side from what I can tell looking at it under the car.
