Which Sat Nav

Hi Ian
Sorry for the delay in posting. Been to Scotland (Dundee Audi) to pick up the new handbrake cover.

Limited part numbers I'm afraid
8Z0711549A6PS is the handbrake cover with the correct hole for the buttons - a bargin at only £27
8Z0919721 is the button assembly itself

I haven't unbolted the CD-Rom drive from the boot but I can if you're really interested

I've tried to attach photo of buttons etc

Cheers

Jonathan

Instead of making ANOTHER topic on the subject, I'll just hijack this thread, since it's on the same subject :)

I haven't seen ONE picture of A2's with the navi plus. Even the german forums where they say they modded the dash to make it fit ..

THEN

Last night I was looking at Norwegian Car ads:
http://www.finn.no/finn/viewimage?finnkode=8338623

Seems it actually CAN be done then ^^

(btw, he says it's a S-Line .. but is it? No alu pedals, no s-line badges on the rear doors etc ..)

The give-aways for S-line A2s were the black headliner and the white instrument dials, as well as the usual badging etc.

There were never any right hand drive Slines made for the UK.

Cheers,

Mike

btw .. according to this site, you could in theory get the s-line without the black headliner etc?

Hi cahl
As your car has the Symphony2, a sat nav conversion would be fairly easy.If you'r thinking about it, consider going to the DVD based RNS-E version. Skipton did the conversion recently (excellent job as usual) and there are some photos in one of his posts on the attached link

Ah, thanks for the tip .. but some $$$ changed hands and some deals were made, and now I've got the this .. (as mentioned above)

If that's your A2 Cahl, very nice indeed!

BTW, the A2 was never sold in America and the information, although seemingly accurate as to options packages, is in fact a little erroneous in terms of the A2 - the S Line Suspension package has never been available unless combined with the S Line Sports package (and also the DIS option from the Plus).

The S Line Plus was the S Line proper for Europe, the combined Suspension/Sport package became the Sport for Europe and the UK.

BTW, http://www.audiworld.com/news/02/s_line/content.shtml has all the info on what was the European S Line - and my mistake - the dials were titanium coloured!.

Cheers,

Mike
