Will it stay or will it go?

A2OC Donor
Well i never thought i'd see the day i'd ever buy another car after owning my A2 colour storm for over 7 years, but today that day has come.
Today i bought a Ford Focus (15 plate) 1.5 TDCI 120 Zetec S Navigation, the problem i have now is do i keep the A2 or do i sell it? (just didn't want to p/x it)
What would the value of mine be? Yellow storm, 04 plate, 82000 miles with all history, cambelt & waterpump done, just had full service and new discs and pads, brake fluid change (Awesome GTI £466)
Every receipt for every job done i have kept.

Didn't you try and sell this on the forum a couple of years back?

That's a nice car and rare in imola yellow storm tdi guise. It's a base model does it have climate control?

You've owned it a similar time to my own ( 2008? ) so I'd wager your value of it will be considerably more than the market would offer.

A guess from me if it's straight and true with no faults and the pedigree you refer to would be to pitch it at retail money and see if you get any bites. ( So mid to high 4's).

If you don't get any interest at that you may need to consider taking under 4 for it. ( or keep it)

Not sure if you got any part exchange quotes but I'd imagine they would be around the 3 grand mark.

Hope that helps.

Depending on condition I'd market it at £3995. No offence is intended by this, just basing it on current market values.

If you've got somewhere to keep it I'd store it.

Thanks Murdo, Yes it has climate control, i also had cruise fitted (skipton) as an extra.
I did advertise it a couple of years ago but as you guessed my value was too high (i think most A2 owners are the same) as for p/x value i was offered a 'top market' price of £2100 then he would resell for £2400, obviously i told him he knew nothing about A2's, i was offered £4k last week from a friend at work but turned him down (may need to crawl back with my tail between my legs).
Keeping it is my preferred option but don't really have the space to store it.
I definitely will miss it if it goes, it's probably been the best little car i've ever or will ever own.
Thanks again
