Wiper motor refurbishment

My wiper is very noisy and clattery. It functions correctly, so I don’t suspect a faulty earth.
My 2004 car has the later aero wiper; this was replaced with a new one a couple of years ago. I don’t think the wiper blade is the issue.
I recall in his major engine rebuild, @timmus reports:
The windscreen wiper motor was dismantled and rebuilt,

Has anyone else done this; what does it entail; do you offer an exchange service ??

Thank you, Andrew

Not aware of these being refurbished or anyone offering a refurbish service, then again not seen anyone have a faulty one either - seem to be fairly robust.

Not had one apart myself but presumably it is just a general lube up and bearings check if there are any replaceable in there. - likely more cost effective to get a replacement unit from someone breaking them like a2steve.

Usually it is the wiper arm that fails at the rivets (whatever you call the bits) as they rust/wear, i think it was depronman offering refurbishing/exchange service for these - might be worth a check.
