Moments before I took this picture (when I was still driving) it had said 36 degrees!!! Come on summer!

But you can try! It was taken the day the record was broken (see date/time on the dash display) and about 2 miles from the Heathrow location that held the record for a few hours until it got beaten by a place in Kent if memory serves.

But then it perhaps get warmer in Romania!!! We'll see!

On Friday in Reading and mine read 38C but no camera to record the evidence!

Ah yes, I remember that day well. I was at Heathrow. On a Virgin 747 with a technical fault. Sat on the taxiway for about an hour with no air conditioning.

A few people got a little bit stressed, I think it's fair to say.

I'll have you know I averaged 31mpg going over the Kate and Mikes today - and that was cruising at 60mph too - its loosening up

That was on my skiing trip in March this year. We went to hochsolden in Austria. We had an appartment at 2200 meters and it was quite cold there. I did had my battery tested before the trip.

I was quite impressed with the A2 overthere. Just one turn of the key and the car started, aux heater kicks in and in 5 minutes warm air is flowing through the car.
I had my wintertires under and I could easily outmanouvre a BMW. I was turning in a parkzone and the BMW was plowing and gliding up and down the slope. The A2 never glided. it just drove.

Superb little car in the snow !

No won't be of much use... anyone can reset the computer and take a picture soon after of an average of 200mpg or something silly like that! There is no proof it is REALLY the real MPG! Whereas temperature is a bit more difficult to cheat!

Surely the good citizens of A2 forum would not be into cheating!!!!

In any case it would be too much hassle to mess with the FIS/DIS.

just for fun we could organise a club run where fuel is entered at a particular garage, sealed and then refilled at the end by marshalls. make for a nice outing - how about a trek around the North York Moors?
