Massive shoutout to @terrywindy1 who took my pipe and repaired the damage with weld. You’re looking at the before (bottom pic) and after (top).

Top bombing by that man - thank you very much ?
Just to update this thread - I've now got the pipe back in my hand and it is indeed better (and more beautiful) than a new part.

@terrywindy1 I salute you and your workmanship! If you continue to refuse payment I shall donate some monies to the club instead - sound fair?

I have had the TDI75 plastic pipe (it is actually aluminium with a plastic casing on it IIRC) on my remapped TDI90 for some years and 50k plus miles. No adverse effects, leaks or bursts.
Out of interest I googled the clip part number N 10518701 and it came up on a Volkswagen Touran 2016, fuel tank so could still be available I will try VW

I thought the pipe still needed support so made a bracket, added silicone hose to protect the pipe. Seems to work well, the cable tie is enough to keep it in place.

Hi, my ATL been running like a pig for two months no power under prelongd load ect. Mentioned in the plans for 2022 thread about the lower metal boost pipe. So I checked this out. Mine had a broken bracket but was tie wrapped in place the pipe was fine. However the upper pipe had sheared from its mount and was causing the whole assembly from anti shudder Vv to the intercooler to be un supported.

This was making the junction the Anti shudder to rubber hose gape. I tie wrapped it in place and went for a spin. All good, although alittle sluggish as been driving below 2k revs for two months but much improved. Used multiple tie wraps so stop movement in either plane and hopefully on the run to work I'll get to blast out two months of soot.
Has anyone else had this happen?
