A2 1.6 FSI headache

My Vacuum Actuator Arm Prosthetic works!
Without removing the manifold :)
G-string to fish the round piece of the broken arm and lift the whole thing up.
4 mm wide, 0.7 mm thick steel band pushed under the round piece.
Some steel wire to fix the steel band to the back and front of the arm.
Never mind how it looks, it works.
The cost of the whole operation - a few cuts and scratches on the fingers.

Looks like the 'arm prosthetic' helps moving the flaps!

The 'set point not reached' code has gone!

Now just the good old intermittent stuff about the misfiring on cylinder 2 and brake boost sensor, that's all.

Which cylinders are #1 and #2?
I have random misfiring on both now, #1 started after spark plugs and coils replacement.

When you stand in front of the engine, 1->4, left ->right

Thanks! I should write this in the service book, since I can't remember :)

Wait a minute, so the oil leakage is on spark plug on the 3rd position and obviously doesn't affect the ignition at all! Good!

On all but one or two very rare cars you will find that the number 1 cylinder is always at the front.
On a transverse engine such as the A2, you can tell which is the front of the engine easily, the gearbox is connected to the back and the cam belts are in the front.

So the plug nearest to the cambelt is number 1.

I though this was a rare car, Steve, thanks :)

No problem with the loom, the coil was the cause for the misfiring on #1. Replaced it with an old one and the problem was solved.
Misfiring on #2 pops up every now and then, can't do much about it, it doesn't affect me at all.

A brand new Bosch coil can be a bad one, as I can see.
What other coil brands can be used?
