Aftermarket

So got my connects 2 usb for my head unit the only problem is that where i plug it in the speakers plug is in there there is room for the plug next to the speakers but the speaker plug is to big with about 8 holes free which i assume this plug should go.

What alpine unit do you have? I love my alpine head unit it is a model you can't buy new anymore and I think one of the best! I bought two :) I wouldn't change it for anything els!

I also have a alpine stereo single din I bought for my cougar , it was only used a couple of times and would like to fit it in my a2 , mine has the rear speakers fitted, can I buy a adapt or harness to fit and would all four speakers work ? Oh it's the single CD player in mine not the Bose system

Yep, just need the right lead. Had a single DIN Alpine in mine with all speakers working but recently changed it for a Pioneer PRS. You might need the fascia trim bits that sit either side as well.

Sorry to hijack the thread. I've just bought an A2 that has the factory Concert CD player fitted but am considering fitting a Pioneer DEH-80PRS that I have spare. I'm unsure whether to keep the OEM look with the Concert or go for the Pioneer which is a cracking unit. Don't suppose you could post a few pics of your Pioneer fitted with the fascia adapters etc so that I can see how it looks?

Well it's one of the best headunits available for sound quality and can make a huge difference in any car if set up right. Would be a shame for it to be gathering dust....

Which wiring adapter did you use to install it and did you need an amplifier for the aerial?

Yeah you need an aerial amplifier and I can't remember which loom as it was quite a while ago when I put in the Alpine unit before this one. It was an Autoleads one that allows the amplified rear speakers to work.

Do you know if indeed the A4 and A2 fittments are the same? looking to switch from double DIN to single to accommodate a DAB radio? thanks
