alloys wheels

Take the drum off to inspect it. It doesn't seem right to me that it got stuck so badly it would drag the wheel and suddenly everything is fine...
The drum came off ok, and all looked ok, just needed freeing up with the mallet, once off it definitely needed a clean , there was a lot of dust, dirt in there , and before having this issue I had probably washed it and probably soaked the wheels , left it parked up. I think it got then stuck because I dont use the car as a daily driver and it hadnt been moved in last month or so. I am not sure it was anything to do with the handbrake although I had assumed so, had parked up with handbrake on, just assumed the handbrake was issue. Seems to be fine now , going for MOT next week

probably just needs the drum off with a rub of emery paper over the linings and drum contact surfaces
Agreed , probably should do, The linings and drum all looked OK, no leaks , no glazing, there was a lot of loose dust and crud probably wet dust that had dried. I think the drum being locked on, this is more to do with my usage or lack of, after washing . The alloy being stuck to the huib probably the same , and not taking the wheels off myself at any point recently . I checked both rear drums and that handbrake worked , freed with wheels jacked up before testing on my driveway. the entrance is quite an incline.
