Any Problem Driving with no Undertray ?

You could take it to a friendly garage, or you could ask Santa for a trolley jack and a couple of axle stands for Xmas. That's all you need - jack up the car about a foot so you can get under there to pop all the clips in place.

If you have flaps on, these will need removing first , as will the wheel obviously (although you can remove and re-fit the arch liner with the wheel on - I had no choice when a member turned iup to Skipton Autos for a 5th gear change but forgot to bring the locking wheel nut!!!). Fit the arch liner first, then put the flap back on and finally put the under tray on.

Thank you for making it SOUND easy !

I have a Trolley Jack and at least 4 Pairs of Axle Stands but previous experience of taking the Undertray off to do Oil Changes has always ended up with me going to a friendly local garage to get it put back on. Sadly they decided to retire from the tools and stick to their vintage Rolls Royce Wedding Car Hire. Roger Irrelevant but I mean they have the actual Steeds car off The Avengers, amongst others. I think I’ll jack it up and see how much of the Arch Liner and Undertray fasteners survived the floods, before proceeding any further.

Maybe not talking about the same Rolls Royce ? It’s John Steeds Rolls Royce Phantom 1 ( 1926 - 1928 ish as far as I remember ). Story is they bought it from Pinewood Studios but a very long time ago. We wanted to book it for our Wedding in 1986 but they advised against because we had a bit of distance to cover from Church to Reception, and even with the Hood up the open sides just let the weather in. We had their 1935 20 / 25 hp Park Ward Formal Limousine instead..

Leaving the Undertray off until it goes for a Service at Harpers Cumbria. They would have to take the Undertray off, if it was there, and put it back on to do the Service, so it will only cost the price of any new Fasteners that are needed.

Done just over 10,000 since they Serviced it in May 2016 using Longlife Oil, so any time until May 2018 will do. Might get it done in January when I have some days off though.
