DUNE 3 - A2Steve

Found an issue, the rear springs I used, weren't the tried and tested KYB ones I used on dune 1&2. These ones are the same length but are soft as anything, so as soon as I stick the kids in the back the arches are too close to the now spacered wheels.

I've got KYB's on the way from autodoc, but it means the spacers have had to come off for this weekends trip to longleat and when loaded the car looks like a pooping dog.

Will all be sorted very quickly when the new springs arrive, but it's annoying.

Yes its good to keep it original :p Looking good! Superb find too!
Not sure theres much original about it, a jacked up, modified bumper and wheel spacered A2?
I just thought a smooth mat grill would look cool with the arches and bumper panels all the same smooth matt paint. Either way it does look good in the blue and black.

I think it was tongue in cheek

I’ve just taken a breaker in with a set of these Audi A1 alloys with 205/55/15 tyres.

What do you think works better with the ‘Dune’ look? The 17 inch sport wheels with Michelin crossclimates, or the chunkier side wall and smaller alloy A1 wheels?

Your opinions very much appreciated

I reckon they’d be perfect Steve, though I was far more taken with the sport 17’s on it than I’d expected to be on an off road rugged looking car.

I think balloon tyres in theory woud suit but can't have too big an arch gap even though it's raised. That's a tough call

I am still looking for a tidy ebony o/s rear wheel arch, should one appear, Steve,

I think that Dune 3 is a credit to you, Sir.

PS Motion on the wheels seconded

These suit the Dune look, off-roaders have big sidewalls!
