My new Ebony Black 1.6 FSI Sport

I have installed the bluetooth for both calls and music works through the speakers, works a treat not bad for £15

 
Well just put a 170 mile trip in today and all good but still have a bit of an annoying hesitation every now and again, my mechanic told be to order a new breather pipe which has split and been bodge repaired.....

So he is fitting this on Monday morning and fingers crossed it solves my problem

The oil breather hose? What fault code does a cracked hose give?
And where is this pipe? At the back of the egine? It would be wise to check it, since it's a 10 year old plastic...

Don't know specific fault codes but they will relate to a weak air-fuel mixture.
The closed circuit breather system re-circulates crankcase fumes back into the intake manifold so a split pipe will also allow unmetered air into the cylinders causing the weak mixture.

Is there anything that doesn't return into manifold in these engines :)

How difficult is to replace this hose? I guess I have to find it first!

I was getting 17912 Air Intake System Leak I have only had the car a few weeks and changed the EGR pipe due to a crack and this had also split, had it changed this morning and such a difference.

I have lost the hesitation in 2nd gear when turning and loads more power much more lively and nippy little car now.

My mechanic accessed it from underneath it was at the rear took him about 10 minutes on ramps

All in all well pleased
 
Good, good! I don't mind spending 2 hours if I can do it. A 10 year old plastic should go.
What part number, if it's not a secret?
