Hi, had a trip up to Edinburgh recently and took a detour to Grey Mare's Tail near Moffat (well worth a look if you're in the area, the walk to Loch Skeen is beautiful), unfortunately the road was littered with pot holes and didn't see one... hitting it at 30 MPH! OE suspension and 17" wheels had me cringing. Thankfully the car is fine and has passed an inspection by Audi (freebie) but it's affected the OSS:
it's developed a knock over bumps, however minor. Stops if you open the OSS even slightly so seems to be related to the front pane. Stops on the motorway also, air pressure perhaps? I've checked all visible screws and they're torqued up.
OSS opens smoothly, no clunks in the operation, just this knock.
Thanks for any help/ideas, much appreciated.
Tom.

I don't know much about OSS not having it.

But did you lubricate it when you checked all the screws? Might be a long shot but it never dose any harm to give it lubrication.

Cheers

David
