Project ‘Bob’ AKA ‘Bread-209’ 1.4SE

Took the A2 for its first MOT today in my ownership, three weeks before due date just in case anything came up. Passed with almost flying colours with a couple of things just scraping through.

Emissions was one, but after getting the car hot, she managed to meet the standards. Its barely covered 1500 miles over the past year.

Second thing was handbrake effectiveness. Again, it passed but only just, so rather than adjust the cable between the front seats (further stretch), I'll be looking to re-align or replace the shoes in those rear drums at some point early next year.

I have to say though, I love driving this thing. We're hopefully moving house in the next week or so, and its been so easy doing various tip runs and trips out to pick things up with the rear seats folded flat. Great in London traffic and also love it on a bigger run. To date I've still not seen another in the wild since taking ownership!

i've said it once and I'll say it again. That rear spoiler is so useful when out and about.

But the checkered table cloth wouldn't lay flat, would it?
Mac.
It just goes to show those Audi guys really thoroughly thought through (lots of similar spellings ;) ) the spoiler design. Sometimes aftermarket isn't all it's cracked-up to be.....as I write this my mind is wondering back to those Richard Grant "creations" of the 80's and 90's !
