The Cobalt dream machine.

You set a benchmark for my Fsi. Your Fsi seems perfect, except for the lack of the S-line badge! :)

That's why Mark opted for Opensky Steve; essential when you are 9ft tall.

Looks lovely Mark; stunning in fact.

Lol, get's a bit interesting when i want to close it though........ :( :p ;)

Cheers Darren.

I took the passenger seat out when Karen got home form work today. I've been busy, cleaned all the plastics on that side and hopefully tomorrow George will come out to play to do his finest valet job on the carpet.Going to clean the seat in a bit so it can go back in tomorrow morning, and hopefully repeat the Drivers seat and side.Time is always against one.

I've got no central locking.

I've just put the seats back in after cleaning and for some reason the central locking is not working and it didn't work the other day when i tried to operate it. I disconnected the battery so i could remove the front seats ref the airbags but i'm thinking it needs resetting but haven't got a clue how to do this? Can anyone shed some light on this please? Thanks.

Is it the remote control that's not working? If so, turn on the ignition and use the buttons on the remote control without removing the key from the ignition lock. That works for me.

Managed to get another week on the car to do some much needed interior cleaning.

The wheels were in need of a refresh so i had them powder coated and new Asymmetric 2's all round.

The interior looked ok - ish for a light and airy interior but on closer inspection was filthy especially around the drivers seat.

Drivers door card close up shows just how dirty it was.
I have doubts the car has ever had an interior clean.

Previous owners coffee stains that were covered over with hot chocolate stains.

A lot better after giving the carpet a wet valet with my good friend George!

Drivers seat was particularly dirty but strangely didn't look that bad until i started cleaning it.

Rear seats nowhere near as bad, nor was the passenger front seat.

The carpet after it's wet valet.

Still need a few items for the interior though namely.........

Twist rear cup holders.
Twist front drivers mats if anyone has some or maybe a complete new set?
Going to try Audi and see if they have a new gear knob?
New headlight switch,
New ASR switch.

I think that's it for now. I'm hoping some kind soul out there may be able to help return the Cobalt blue machine back to as good as it can be. Cheers.

Post interior pictures still don't do Mark's efforts justice; which shines in the flesh. Absolutely fantastic meticulous attention to detail lavished; especially the leather seats which look simply stunning and almost brand new. The leather looks supple and defies its age; cracking job all round.

Wow,that's some endorsement, thanks Draren. Your car is still my benchmark though! :)
I've been naughty mate, last night i ordered a new wipe arm, fuel flap switch and drivers door check strap.:D I'm determined to make her as good as can be.

Said with sincerity mate; I was stunned at how great it looked. Add in the time you spent, which the efforts truly mirror, and you deserve the plaudits that you are getting from wider than me.

Remember what Di said though; everything costs £10 or less, so Karen will be happy that you are investing wisely... ;)

Cheers,

Darren

These I don't have, but I'll certainly keep an eye open for these coming up and drop you a line if I see them.
