Mr Blacks is 1514 and running sweet (last time it was cold enough) on 00005
Yeah I am totally lost too, struggling to know what makes me special but I promise its what I am seeing! This is absolutely feeling like there is something else in play that we don’t yet understand
I have work with software for 30 years and there is no such thing as random just circumstances that you don’t understand making it seem random

That's the only possible reasoning but the pattern makes no sense!Tom @Howey and Paul @depronman,.
Just to confirm that both the fleet here are climate control/air conditioned, I understand your vehicles are manual heating which is should be noted to not confuse things further.
Kind regards,
Tom
Agree Tom,That's the only possible reasoning but the pattern makes no sense!
Webasto info
Does the coding ever change as that's 00002
Ahh so if I started the engine they should go then, no faults are present in the ecu for it too!Just for clarity the other 1’s in the middle of block 16 would also prevent webasto running
One is engine stopped the other is delay after engine start

Ahh I see my bad I thought mine was an anomaly so yeah must be the a/c stopping it. Wonder if unplugging the a/c pressure switch would allow it to run on 00005. The a/c pressure switch can be a devious little bleeder when it fails so only a complete guess if it's working fine thou!!Agree Tom,
So far from a quick scan of the thread, we’ve only got results from 5 vehicles:
3x non climate control (you x2 and Paul @depronman)
2x climate control (both my fleet)
We really need further input from the wider community to identify any trend. This thread has been extremely useful so far by revealing that the 00005 (1514 firmware) map does indeed hinder the Webasto kicking in automatically with a climate control vehicle, but could do with additional members joining in the conversation/information flow to hopefully obtained a more informed answer.
Kind regards,
Tom

Ahh ... I was thinking the other way around, that ECON had to be On, (to reduce engine load), and allow Aux Heater to run. Cheers.Good Evening Mac,
That is correct then. By pressing The ECON button (lights up) the air conditioning is turned off to save fuel and therefore it will be more ECONomical.
In addition if a Supplementary Heater is present this will be prevented from functioning to save even more fuel, as page 104 of the handbook.

Afternoon Edd,Hi, I'm so excited as my webasto fired up after changing the fuel pump under the car.
My car is non ac 2003 amf with a map by a friend. Engine on 00005 thingy.
Econ button works fine. Heres my vcds of today's joyful test.
The power of the webasto is just beautiful. I'm so happy.
I sat in and ot cooked as it did the full cycle up to 80 deg, it even kicked back in again as the coolant cooled down. Perfect
Some photos are not in order but you'll get the picture
