And then there’s the new obsession

Which makes every day without major mechanical failure a blessing 🙏🏻
I've spent a lot of time pondering these Maserati's.. There can't be another car that presents such amazing value for money s/h, but also potential financial ruin. Fair play to you for living the dream Sir!

The view I’ve taken is, at a purchase price of £7,000, unless I have catastrophic engine failure, if I run into major problems I can break her for what I paid. Not that I want too mind, she really is in good shape. 😊

Well, aside from keeping running(ish) A2, 2x T5 (1.9TDI AND 2.5TDI), Fabia, MX-5, 80 Cabriolet, Kawasaki KLE500, Benelli TnT899S and occasionally Wartburg W353 Tourist (in really slow restoration), volleyball, mountain biking and ship models.

Wow 7k is crazy cheap, well worth a punt. Life is short, seize the day and all that eh

I have a BMW K1300GT for my holidays,

Vespa GTS 300, for shopping.

I spent 25 years of my life dedicated to Windsurfing, which is now an occasional activity, I hate wearing contact lenses.
The A2 is an ideal Windsurfing buddy and is quite capable of carrying all my kit.

Whilst we clearly all like cars, the major interest in this thread, for me at least, is reading about people’s non-motorised pastimes.
The topic of this thread is a frequent subject of conversation between myself and fellow A2 owners whilst at my workshop. Owning the same car always ensures an area of overlap in our lives, but the differences are often the most interesting. As a broader community, we get up to a lot of different things, and that is to be celebrated.

Enjoy your days, folks! 🙂

The A2 is for me an interest in its own right, but also a means to an end - getting me to far away hills for climbing and running. Didn’t all go quite as well as hoped this week as Achilles started to tear while climbing on Ben Nevis - but at least the car went well ! The car is twenty and sadly I only think I am - so now will have to have quite a long forced rest before next big trips away.
Chris

I was hunting through my pics the other day and came across these, I had forgotten all about my Wheelbarrows. As far as I know there isn't a wheel Barrow museum anywhere in the world, which seems crazy given how incredibly useful and important these things are. So me and a friend have a semi serious plan to open one somewhere one day. There's not many days go by when I haven't used a wheel barrow for something or other.

These are some quite old ones I have picked up at car boot sales etc. Old wooden ones are my favourite, but they are becoming quite expensive. I have made my own wooden one, which works very well.

I badly want one of these, which I think is pretty much the ultimate modern wheel barrow, but can't really justify the cost. Maybe it will go on next years Christmas list.

Do you have a ‘Ball Barrow’?
The first commercial venture for Mr Dyson back in 1974? I had one back in the day, very good on rough muddy terrain until the ball gets a puncture!
