Finally i found time to post a little feedback...
It was my first time in England and driving
on the other side with my A2. Yet the change-over was easier than thought for me. OK, the first miles after driving off the ferry i really had to put focus on it (there was one situation during turn right where i had to correct myself driving on the left side). But on the last (3rd) day i have not thought so much about driving on the left anymore.
This WE it was a pleasure to meet the people behind the nicknames in this forum along with their great A2s (some including very unique modifications
). I liked the open hearted attitude where you can ask for tips and tricks, either regarding repair, servicing or modifications.
Thanks to all who helped to make this social at AITP such an impressive event! Special thanks to David for the delicious english-tea, to Mike for all the organisation and "grill master service", to Tom for helpful translations where needed
.
All in all i can say that this social was definitely worth my long journey!
Findings
- Petrol can be cheaper than Diesel
- Votex-Density is quite high here (at least once a year on a small area around billing aquadrome)
- Long arms can be sometimes good to use in a left-hand driven car
- Learned further A2-related terms: wheel bearing, knuckle, service flap, lumbar, subframe spoiler...etc

I also uploaded some of the photos i took during the social:

Hope to see you all again, either here or abroad...
