Audi driver international show 2015 main thread

Now you are starting to sound like my wife :)

Tell me about it!!

For no reason the other night she told me that I should "throw" a golf game I was playing in the next day.
She said " it would be far better if you come second!"

Not sure what she meant.

Right back on topic----Those driving to castle combe I hope you have a good trip and I will meat you at the car park in DUNNS LANE --SN14 7HU at 8.35. For those that are at the Hilton or Premier inn we will leave at 8.00 to join the others at the car park so I can hand out the passes for the cars. Anyone not paid their £2 can pay me on the day please. As regulars will know i have a lousy reputation for getting us to the circuit and the meeting point without going on a mucky mystery tour--so is there any volunteers to lead?
Cheers mike
WE NEED TO BE ON TIME AS WE WILL BE LEAVING THERE AT 8.55AM (If you cant get there for that time please pm me for my number and i can meet you at the gate to issue you with your pass.)

To be honest Mike the convoy through the muddy lanes was a highlight of last years ADI for me, was greatvto see so many A2's drivibg together. I'm pretty sure Chris Dixon offered to lead us this year as he lives locally and knows the area well.

The "Magical Mystery Tour" is a bit of a tradition, and I like it when we do a U turn, at least we get to see lots of A2s on the road that way.

But I think it is unfair for you to have to shoulder the responsibility every time, you do enough already.

Perhaps we have someone at the front who has sat nav, someone in the middle (for when we get split up at junctions, which is inevitable) and someone at the rear for the stragglers.

I think it is only fair for me to volunteer for one of those places, could someone else who has been to ADI before also volunteer (x2?)

Perhaps that would leave Mike free to go at his own pace and perhaps get there first so that he can direct the cars onto the stand? I think Mike does a great job of arranging the cars on arrival.

Just a suggestion, Mike has a very busy day, anything to help would be welcomed.

Cheers --- thats a weight of my mind, last year i felt terrible as all cars looked like we had done a rally driving course. If you could make it at the premier inn across the road even better - as i don't think anyone is at the hilton now. cheers mike

I can't get into the Hilton car park anyway so I was just going to loiter.

Don't worry about getting split up. Most of the trip is on the M4 anyway.

Great so we have three volunteers, Zip, me and Chris.

We can sort out the way we split up at Dunns Lane, one at the front, one in the middle and one bringing up the rear!

Hi there Bit of a late response from me. Is it OK if I tag along this Saturday too? My work pressures have reduced a bit so should be OK to have a day at the track.

I can pay you on the day Mke (or drop it straight into the BankAccount). I can get to the Castle Combe car park for 8:30.

See you then

Ben

That is good news Ben, looking forward to meeting up for a chat.

How many have expressed an interest in being there this year Mike?

If the pathfinders are sorted I'll volunteer to attend the paddock early as I've done previously and assist set up the gazebos and club banners. If this isn't sorted already I'm happy to help out and assure the coffees on for everyone arriving ;)

Thats a cracking avatar pic you've got James

I was going to say the same thing Steve, although I've noticed you've a great new Avatar pic too the past few weeks! Looks terrific! Those wheels do really suit the car James, I must work on a new Avatar!!!
Cheers Jeff

Really looking forward to this now! Car preparation will start tomorrow. :)
