Today I ordered from Mister Auto;
SKF ribbed belt and tensioner kit and a pair of front drop links - they seem to have much more choice of manufacturer than most of the other online suppliers.
Simon.
There maybe cash back available if you went to them through Quidco.

Not aware of that 'trick'?
Simon.
Today I replaced the front droplinks - one was definitely shot but seemed sense to change both sides. During the course of the work discovered that the offside driveshaft nut was barely hand tight - despite that or perhaps because of it couldn't get the driveshaft out of the hub so will need to get a bigger hammer in order to change the CV boot
Simon.
Just collected Project X from WOM Automotive...
Looking very nice indeed! Brought back from the brink. Well done to all involved. Jeremy, you'll soon own more A2s than you've owned Sciroccos and Corrados if you keep this up!
Could you not have removed your double din and fitted your meter out of your line of sight in your A2 Taxi?

Today I tried a repair of the air filter housing. Some stainless m5 nuts seem to just fit to with some,persuasion of the hammer and air dryer. I also applied some 2 componen epoxy glue! Let's see if it works!
